Timeline

I just got off the phone with the NVC and they told me my I was approved. I was told by her that in september they would be scheduling interviews for October. So sounds like my wife will get her interview in October at the earliest. My question is that if we do get our interview in October how long usually after that if things go smooth is the Visa in my wifes hands.

all help will be very appreciated

Otto and Karin's right, putting your timeline will truly help...

As for your question, it usually take at least 1-2 weeks for the visa to be received... that is if your wife will be approved during the interview. Keep the fingers crossed that you won't get stuck under administrative review or be asked for more documents. These usually are some of the reasons why the visa can be delayed.

Good luck!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg
