My mother went to DFA yesterday to authenticate my birth certificate to sent here in Riyadh for my new passport, the thing is, they cannot read my first name, they are asking for a certified copy of my BC but the problem is I have that copy with me. Will they accept a fax copy or scanned copy? My passport is necessary to send the copy to the US for NVC process. Please anyone knows?

Thanks

If you have the original copy of your BC you can get another copy from your Local civil registry.Am not really sure about the fax but you can try or email it to your mom if it is readable enough.

have your mom call DFA to ask if they will accept either one that you mentioned above. otherwise you'll end up sending your BC to PI.

good luck!
