Hello everyone, im a little confused, hoping somehere understands better than me. I filed for my ex husband but before i sent in the support papers with the nvc i asked to close the case as we divorced. The case finally had a touch in jan 09 and than i received the letter saying the case has been rejected and denied which is what i wanted. Now i have my new husbands case and i dont intend on closing it cause i love this man and he loves me totally.

But anyways, im waiting and waiting for my husbands approval notice since i filed april 13th 09 and waiting and waiting for something, a touch on his case anything. Wouldnt you belive it, i check today and my ex husbands case has another touch on it. Im thinking maybe they are trying to get this old case closed and gone before they decide on my husbands case. What do you guys and gals think? I cant believe i am waiting everyday for a touch on my husbands case and i get a touch on my ex husbands case that has already been closed. Im getting so scared and frustrated.

Thanks for helping me or trying to in advance, sweetcitywife

I dont understand what you are trying to ask. Is it that you are wondering if your new husband's case will be approved/rejected because the old case that you filed is still active at USCIS?

My question is, why do you think there is another touch on the old case if i already got the letter saying it has been rejected and denied?

Maybe to say its now closed, or to read the notes to get ready to finish my present husbands case? Not sure. Its okay if you dont understand or cant help me. Thank you for trying anyways, sweetcitywife

It's all speculation, but they may be looking at your ex husbands case to compare it with your new case, especially if there has not been much time between the two cases. Make sure your new husband knows all about the old relationship, as there may be questions about why the old relationship failed at his visa interview.
