To all K1 filers in Bangkok Consulate, when are we supposed to pay for the visa fee? I know it's to be paid at the post office and mail the receipt to Bangkok Consulate, but I'm not sure at what stage/time. Am I supposed to include the receipt along with the documents in packet 3 or when I received the packet 4.

thanks all for the answers.

There is a Thai post office across the street from the embassy behind the high rise building. It is a short distance down an alleyway to the left of the parking lot area. We walked over there, paid, & returned the receipt to the embassy just before the interview. I believe you could submit the document after the interview but before you pick up the passport with visa a few days later.

You can pay the fee at any post office listed in the non-IV checklist. There are quite a few of those throughout Thailand. You pay the visa fee before submitting packet 3 and include a copy of your receipt with your packet 3 docs. You will include the original receipt with your evidence at the interview.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)
