She has not hit 3 months yet. Usually the average time to get approved in 90 - 120 days. I don't think she has anything to worry until September 09.

Hi Abby and Sheryl.

We filed our I-130 and our I-129F in May 2009 (the actual dates are listed on our timeline below). Our file was last touched on June 3, 2009...nothing since, either.

We are hoping to hear something from the USCIS very soon...which Service Center is processing her I-130?

Be smart, have a plan, and hang on to the people you love. - Chris Gardner

hey abby n sheryl, CONGRATULATIONS for the visa approval! happy for you both. have a safe trip soon! :star:

anyway, tell your friend dont worry too much and just be patient. if your case approved that fast, that does not mean that hers would be too. others get approves after 3-6 months, only got her NOA1 on june too early for her to be impatient.

however she can contact USCIS to follow up her case by calling this number 1-800-375-5283. just follow the instruction that given by an automatic oparated machine so she could speak with a live rep.

good luck!

If you click on the Processing Times link above you will see that both service centers are behind the 5 month timeline. They can call the USCIS mis-information line if it makes them feel better. There is really not much they can do until the timelines falls outside the date listed on the Processing Times.

What we did during the big backlog in 2007 was watch for when VJers with similar timelines were being approved.

Maybe you can help them set up their Case Staus Online (CRIS) to help them track the progress.

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

hi abby & sheryl,

tell your frend be patient in waiting, its just normal coz it was written in the uscis website it takes 5-6 months before the approval, and just like mine im still waiting for my approval and its been 4 months and yet we havent received anything from the uscis. and if it reach 6 months and havent heard anything from them then thats the time for them to call the uscis about their paper work. Ok Goodluck to all of us here who still waiting for the approval... hope it will come soon by God's grace.

I know how hard it is to wait. Especially now that her friend it leaving for the US. Safe journey to your SO!!

From our timeline you can see that it took 129 days from NOA1 to NOA2. Almost 5 months, the longest 5 months I ever want to experience.

Your friends time will soon come. Please tell her to just hang on!!

Yup, you were lucky.

Someone dropped the box of applications and yours got back on top I guess.

However it happened, I wish you continued good luck and fast speed on your AOS.
