Your husband's two prior marriages & especially 30 years difference between you & your husband have raised a couple of red flags which concluded a field investigation. It is normal, don't worry about it. You just wait on-line update and/or an official letter from them. I have to warn you, it might take up about 4-6 months to be approved.

No Field Investigation on my side yet :)

Good Luck !......

I was thinking about that Cino. They probably doubted our relationship because of our big age gap and his past marriages. But age gap is never been a problem for both of us,since from the start we never talk about our age difference. We love each other and it just happen that my husband is older than me. What else they want from us huh?I can't understand the immigration people sometimes because some AOS applicant's doesn't have any interview and they just receive their green card without any hassle. It's unfair to those who spend effort in preparing those documents that they asked. Why are they like that?Hmm....i am just hoping that they are now satisfied after their visitation.

I was alone in the house because my husband is at worl. They ask alot about my husband. He is actually a filipino and i am 24 and he is 54.This is his third marriage and his wife was all filipinas.Probably, they are thinking that our marriage is not bonafide.I showed them every rooms in our house, our room and even our closet, bathroom and etc...I am worried thinking about this stuff huh!

I wouldn't say it's normal in every case, but I'd actually be surprised if they DIDN'T visit you considering your husbands now had THREE marriages to Filipinas, and considering the massive age difference. Were all his other wives much younger than him too? I'm sure if you're both living together and could prove this by showing his and hers clothes and toiletries etc and you could answer the questions they asked then things will be fine.

You can't really blame them for turning up to double check, I think that's just sensible given the circumstances.

They're like 'that' because your case has two BIG red flags (that you've told us about). Obviously they're not a problem for you, but did you honestly expect the authorities not to be slightly suspicious, and to double check the facts that you've told them? If you did, then I'm sorry, there's no nice way to say it, but you're dumb! You should be glad they came to your house, because if, as you say, you're in love and it a bonifide marriage then you were able to set their minds at rest and everything will be fine.

Everyone should hope they get the same 'personal' service that you've got

Don't worry about it. My future brother in law got a home visit last month, it was on a Saturday, he was approved this Tuesday. It seems that recently they are stepping up home visits, I've heard of many more in the NYC/NJ area. From what you've reported you should be fine, they might have seemed upset because there WAS evidence of a relationship and someone sent them out for nothing.

Good luck.

Miss jane.... obviously they doubted your marriage because of the age difference and your husbands previous marriages....

By the sound of it you gave the immigration guy more than enough evidence to keep him happy!!

I think it'll be a good outcome....

Good luck!! :)

Hello mamaSue I will have my interview next month & the age difference between me and my husband is 34 yrs. Im his 4th wife though all his previous marriages are all from american women. Was the age thing & previous marriages really plays a big role in the interview? Thanks in advance

They definitly smelled burnt meat, thats why they were there at ur place...didn't you offer them coffee or something, would be a + point for you. Anyways..I won't think you would be in trouble after USCIS visited you but yea! your case might go little faster to get its decision. These could be the red flags that they doubted your relationship cuz of age diff and the number of marriages your husband are holding upto now. But you never know what other things they might looked into it. If you feel confident that you proved the bonafide relationship to them. No worries at all! person in real relationship is kinda strong in his/her actions so u have to be like that. Age diff wouldn't be a problem for you but it might bothered USCIS to have a look into your ongoing relationship. I dont know who are you fearing off. Second thing! USCIS deals thousands of cases per day and yes they approve some from them without Interview, because when they look at the paperwork, its all in ordre and everything is there! plus they go through the copy of intended immi's interview (the one for K1 or for whatever case in US embassy they took) So in short! Once they find the case is crystal clear and there is no need for 2nd in person interview, they approve it there n then.

Ok my thoughts for you..

Don't work

Have your paperwork ready if you are going out from one state to another, avoid going near to border areas like california. Border forces have their checkposts 100 miles before the border ends, and they could stop you to check your status in this country, (I have read a couple story on VJ, she showed almost all the documents that she's married to a USC and stuff but they didn't let her go and she was in their custody for almost a month)

Avoid unnecessary trips to see how US looks like. (you can do it once you have GC.

Laterss...

They have the same age with his first ex-wife and his second ex-wife was 21 years younger than him.
