I just want to know if anyone experience like this?I had my AOS interview last Aug. 4, 2009 here in Las Vegas and it seems that we did not get the approval yet.But then, i was surprised when the immigration officer visited me in our house. What does this means? Is it part of the process? I was just wondering...Is anyone has the same experience like this?Any info. will be highly appreciated.Thank you so much.

They obviously doubted you guys relationship. Hopefully both of you were home or at least there was evidence showing you both lived there.

It's NOT a common procedure. Should be as the people that have a bonafide marriage will get approved without any problems.

Especially if the hubby was at work and the toilet seat was still up!!!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

yes it is normal now a days. there is another post like this that immigration came to coupld house and ask question, if u were home then there is nothing to worry bcz i think they just wanna see if u live there together. maybe other reasons, good luck with approval, abby n sheryl

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I was alone in the house because my husband is at worl. They ask alot about my husband. He is actually a filipino and i am 24 and he is 54.This is his third marriage and his wife was all filipinas.Probably, they are thinking that our marriage is not bonafide.I showed them every rooms in our house, our room and even our closet, bathroom and etc...I am worried thinking about this stuff huh!

They look at some of the bills which is in my husband's name. I asked them if they wanted to see our joint bank account and utility bills which is in our both names, but they said "never mind". They asked me if the house is in my husband's name,i said yes. That's all they asked me,

It isn't normal for a person/couple to get a home visit - it does happen and based on what you described, I'm not terribly surprised. Usually, if they walk away satisfied, there isn't a whole lot to worry about.

Miss jane.... obviously they doubted your marriage because of the age difference and your husbands previous marriages....

By the sound of it you gave the immigration guy more than enough evidence to keep him happy!!

I think it'll be a good outcome....

Good luck!! :)
