We definitely both want kids, but we're pretty young and totally not ready financially (I know , I know, you can never really be ready financially, but we are living in my parent's basement saving money for a house, I think that qualifies us as extremely UNready!)

I have told James I would like to have my kids before I turn 30 and he seems happy with that idea, so in a few years we'll revisit the issue.

Then you're obviously just boring and a life devoted to wiping your child(rens) ####### would be ideal for you.

 Is this where you start calling everyone with children "breeders" and "moos"? Yawwwwn.

Erm, no

If you have kids, and you like 'em great! I just get really bored when people tell about their precious little ones, then tell you more and more and more, and....

I. Don't. Care.

It's only when people drone on about thier kids I like to play devil's advocate and make an argument against why kids are great.

More than any of that pisses me off though, is when people start going on about how they REALLY want one, as if it's another one of those items to procure through life like everyone else has, like a car or a house.

You know it happens; how many times you seen a woman looking at another womans child and come out with some thing like, "OOooooo/awwwww, I so want one!"

You are the exact kind of bitter personn i was talking about earlier. Who cares about your pet pives, can't you handle it? In silence?

No.

There are ppl who don't actually think that life is all about party this, party that, ....maybe she wasn't looking '0wned' but the look was 'what a #######' .... ppl are different no??

Before she launched in to a 10 minute monologue on why kids (especially hers) are great, she was saying she was on the way to the pub to meet her other half, so, no, I'm pretty sure she quite liked a life outside the house.

And in my experience I have actually managed both too....having kids isn't the end of life as we know it...just another dimension to it. ppl aren't 'boring' just because they choose to have children instead of a party lifestyle.

edit to add....nice username and pic btw

But yet often they so are.

And thank you.

yet....only to you in your opinion....maybe ppl talk to you about their kids for so long cos they hope you will get bored and move on.....there are many reason why ppl find some others boring.... ;)

You have to admit there are many many ppl who have kids who are funny, intelligent and captivating

btw....don't you have something less boring to do than hang around here as you obviously 'hate' it?

Maybe, maybe not.

Possibly, but I'd like to decide that for myself first hand instead of being told about in a lengthy monologue.

I do; mainly I come here to see what my fiancee has to say... and to torment certain persons. ;)

we have two cats.... :luv::luv: that's enough for us....
I really don't consider myself a "ChildFree personn" i'm just a personn that doesn't want kids and got sterilized because most of the people calling themselves CF are bitter souls!

Also their adoration for their pets is creeping me out, like they chose to have subsitute of kids

Ummm, if I was one of the people you were directing the bolded comment to...you DO realize it was a joke, no???:huh:

Neither of us want children because we DO want to be able to do the things we want, when we want, and not only do we not have the desire to be parents, it's just not something I could safely do for medical reasons. We enjoy being auntie & uncle to our two adorable nieces.

Our cats are still our babies though...bahahahahahahaaa...

I have had baby fever from the get go!

He has a 16 year old from his previous marriage. I have none. We will be moving to California next month and finally settling down. I hope to be getting pregnant in due time.

Note I didn't say WE are hoping to get PG.

This might just be me, but...

How in the hell can WE get pregnant?

Unless he can carry a rugrat and push it out, WE don't get pregnant. We might concieve, we might be expecting a child, we might be having a baby but WE aren't PG. When I hear a man say this it makes me cringe even more...but that is just me

We have my daughter, who is 7, but we'd love to have one together. However, we plan on waiting a wee bit so we have time to be together just the three of us (and two of us on occasion) before embarking on the pregnancy journey. :)

LOL!! I agree with you! The day when my fiance' develops the capacity to carry a human being in his body and then push it out of his nether regions is the day when WE can be pregnant. Until then, only *I* will be pregnant lol.

But I guess it's nicer/gentler than saying "I am pregnant and he got me that way."

We both want kids ... not yet though. We'd both like to finish school and we are both still young so we still have time but the issue has been talked about. We thinking bout just starting a plan by putting a little bit of money away every month so when we are ready at least we'd have some sort of cash waiting. :)
