I have to vent about CSC and their lackluster performance. I posted a while back about jumping the gun and filing my 129 petition 2 weeks early so I had to refile the papers and have a new date 2-6-06 which my last date was 11-8-05, so I wait another min. 4 mos or longer. Sure I screwed up by sending the papers in early but I did and now I have to wait again. As I remember someone grilling me on the costs and being poverty line well that is not the case. I have a Very good job and make a lot of money, I could give a diddly about the 170.00 its the point that the US govt is dening me the right to the pursuit of Happiness which is in our Declaration of Independence. I am a Nam era vet and I pay a lot of taxes every year and I am a law abiding citizen, so I should have a right to pursue happiness in the country I was born in. I think there are two problems in CSC 1. is they could care less about anyone because they are Govt workers and from my past experience they have this attitude. 2. Why would they overload a center with Texas instead of sending the Texas surplus to Nebraska which is closer or spreading out the work load to all of them.

I think they USCIS is looking at the wrong area for possible terorist they should LOOK at the US MEX boarder there are Millions coming here just crossing at will and if there are terorist they certainly would not file a visa paper they would come across with the 13 million est Mexes. That is Americas biggest problem. Here in Las Vegas it is out of control.

Sorry to vent like this but if we all lay down then what Freedom do we have NONE.

It is ok to vent, its healthy! And what better place to do so then here. I understand your frustration, It brings me joy for the people but also breaks my heart to see them getting approved and yet im still trying to be strong and wait for mine. Everything will be ok, I am sorry you had to refile. :(

Keep strong and just remember, no matter what, we can overcome all of this, and we will be with our sweeties again and FOR GOOD with no more seperations.

Hugs,

Tara

I understand your frustrations. CSC used to be a very speedy service center but got caught up in a huge immigration fraud ring last year and that hurt everyone.

i do remember your first posting about jumping the gun. Glad you realize that is was a mistake on your part.

Not sure what being a nam vet and a tax payer has to do with you having to wait in line with everyone else in the southern and western parts of the united states, but i would advise you to wait until you really have something to vent about like if your are on your 4th month without an noa2. Maybe if instead of focusing on yourself, you would instead focus on your blessings.

1) you are well enough off that 170 dollars is nothing to you

2) vietnam i believe is relatively quick to get an interview, unlike if your loved one was in dominican republic - it takes a year to get an interview once they recieve an approved petition.

blaming illegal aliens for a slow government system will do no good. I think you shoudl direct your "anger" in more positive directions. Write a letter to your loved one. Maybe start planning for your new life. And save your anger for when it really is approprate ( i.e. if the visa were to be denied).

Or if you want just sit around the house with your high blood pressure level not getting you anywhere

I share your frustration... seems like extensive background checks and etc are eating up time and resources which could perhaps be better directed elsewhere.

and as to why they've routed ALL texas filings to the SLOWER of the two other processing centers is beyond me. When I started researching all this, it appeared that we would have our NOA2 within 2-3 months, EASY. now... who knows. The wait is sometimes depressing - no idea what's going on.

ryecatcher25: I believe his partner is in Romania, not Vietnam. He's probly in for a good long wait, just as you are. unfortunately CSC doesn't turn out 2-week NOA2's.

The reason they cannot send to Nebraska is that Nebraska cases are getting sent to CSC also. I live in Ohio. Eastern time zone like Vermont, but my service center is Nebraska. Imagine my surprise when I see that my I-130 was sent to California.

ryecatcher 25 you misunderstool what I was saying I am not using my service to the country or paying taxes as a crutch to jump in front of the line. What I am saying is that the government has their head up their a**. They would send a increased work load to a already overloaded center when the others are not busy at all. And why is Texas behind they weren't involved in the hurricane. Why cant they get a more timely response to the petitions by distributing the work load to the other centers. Daaaa, and that is not yes in Romanian.

You seen to be a sarcastic person and must be a Republican because you pick and choose what fits your agenda to bash someone.

My Loved one is not in Vietnam she is in Romania and we speak 2 to 3 times a day but hearing her cry breaks my heart. and there is nothing I can do but WAIT. Also my bloodpressure is just fine.

As far as the illegals my point was that they, US govt, Homeland Security or whatever you want to call them, are treating this visa process as if they are possible threats to the US, investigating you and the fiancee with a magnafying glass to find fault, where the threat is crossing our boarders with free will.

It is my Right to marry whom I want and the US Govt needs to cocentrate on more serious issues.

The waiting is frustrating as anything I have ever been through. We are also going through the wonderful *cough* CSC, although when we sent our petition in it was 'supposed' to go through TSC.

I really do think it sucks that we are put under so much scrutiny, gawd I am trying to come into your country to be with the man I love through legal means. Yet we get put through the ringer with the length of time it is now starting to take.

I know that once we get past CSC, and who knows when that will be, it will be pretty much plain, but stressful still, sailing. Luckily the Australian Consulate seems to have it's act together for the time being, but how long is it going to stay that way, you never know.

I feel for everyone who has been waiting months for that golden ticket, the NOA2. We have been waiting since November 14 2005, when we got our NOA1 and seeing all the approvals come through from the same date in the last week or so has risen our stress and frustration levels to new heights, wondering why ours wasn't lucky enough to be in that pile.

So we go back to "well maybe next week". We are really hoping that it isn't next month, but CSC has had a few of those as well. *sigh* :(

George W. Bush is proposing a guest worker program for illegal immigrants. They are thinking that upto 20 millions guest workers petitions will have to be processed by USCIS if Bush's plan goes through. So if you think CSC is slow now, wait until they have a few million more petitions dumped on them. My petition has been at CSC for 7 months now.

Well, L&M, seeing as you are a newbie, maybe you don't know about the following:

--Texas was at a complete standstill as far as fiance visas were concerned last year (and maybe others, but those for sure), and California was going along well, so things have been transferred over there to give the K-1'ers going through TSC a fighting chance. This has been going on for months now -- the hurricanes last September have nothing to do with it.

--Then, California sometime late last year (jasman, do you remember when?) uncovered a major immigration fraud ring that if I remember correctly involved an employee. Consequently, things slowed down considerably as the powers that be cleaned up the mess and reviewed cases that were questionable.

--Other service centres may not seem busy at all to the naked eye, but they have other visas (workers, students, etc) to deal with as well. The amount of applications being submitted to all the service centres numbers in the millions -- that's a lot of paperwork to wade through!

And I am sure others could go on with this list, but I'll cut it short. One thing I must humbly remind you is that marrying someone who is not an American citizen and asking for permission for them to enter this country is not a RIGHT, but a PRIVILEGE.

Oh, and throwing around the Republican / Democrat labels and stereotypes in here won't get you very far either.

Best wishes for a successful visa journey!

look if for some reason the visa for my fiancee is delayed or even has to be restarted, then i do admit i would explode as i am sure unfortunately many on this site do have to experience. At that point it would be difficult for me to look at an illegal (which are very plentiful in kansas city) and not feel rage building up inside me.

Personally i am all for building a fence at both borders. the saying "good fences make good neighbors" is definately true.

but if we want to do something about it maybe this site should sponser petitions and such. instead of 1 out of 20 angry people online writting their congressmen, which is usually very overated, but if instead of that the governement was sent a list of 5000 people who wanted things changed they might listen.

then again the vast majority of the population wants the military on the borders and that won't happen any time soon.

So L&M we do have agreement on the immigration problem. but i think we differ on how to feel about "legal" immigration.

Yes it take a while and the waiting sucks. but realistically unless you want to help start a petition drive there is precious little you can do. So why worry about something you really do not have any controll over? I guess that is what my viewpoint is. This process can be as painful as a person wants to make it if they do not make the best of their time.

Maybe the waiting is like the old hald empty or half full glass of water. someone says "oh no i have a 3 month wait" while another says "oh it is only a 3 month wait, that is short than i thought". you see it is all perspective.

Is is very hard to have to wait like this but at this moment in time there appears to be nothing we can do about it but wait!!!

As Jasman has said there was a major fraud scam going on at CSC last year so this has slowed them down.

If you check on the other processing centres for the type of visa my daughter is petitioning for us the I-130, (she is a USC,) Nebraska do not accept those types of petitions, so will send them elsewhere, Texas do not do them either and unfortunately vermont, who do and are 3 months in front of California, do not cover the state of Florida !! which is where we will be living. Sucks, but there you have it.

I will keep watching and logging on to USCIS to wait for the approval as hundreds have done before me and will do so after me. Vent all you want, we've probably all been there and done it and you have wonderful support here so we understand.

Good luck with the process, sincerely hope it does not drag on to long for you
