Will an RFE on the 864 delay the EAD?

Hello,

I had juuuuuust gotten a job offer when I sent in the documents and I wasn't surprised that they didn't think it was proof enough. So, now I've got some paystubs to reflect / back up that offer letter and I have more detailed bank statements.

I was wondering though, will there be a hold placed on our process, a hold that would delay the EAD, or is the EAD still going to go through it's process time separately?

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.

if you do receive the rfe, then your ead process will be stopped until they receive a response from you in regards to rfe. we got one, took us about 3 weeks to send everything back, and about 3.5 weeks later i was notified that my ead has been ordered production! nothing to worry about, really (at least from our experience). good luck!

Yes, they will put your case (I-485, I-131, I-765) on hold until you send them what they want. We got one too. And it delayed our case for about 2 weeks.

Sometime in 11/2006 --- Met online

09/26/2008 --- Got married

04/03/2009 --- AOS package sent

07/13/2009 --- Interview in Detroit,MI. Approved!!!

07/25/2009 --- GC received! Total: 3 months 12 days from NOA1 to GC mailboxhappy.gif

05/17/2011 --- ROC package sent

05/25/2011 --- NOA1 received

06/27/2011 --- Biometrics

10/17/2011 --- Approved! confetti.gif

10/21/2011 --- Received Permanent GC
