Hi Guys,

I am just putting the final touches to my AOS package and discovered that my passport and I-94 have been stamped for the 07/17/2009 but I entered on 07/16/2009.

I left the UK and entered the US at 4:45 pm on the 16th.

It asks on the forms the date you last entered the US - which was the day I arrived - the 16th, but the differently dated stamps obviously don't reflect this.

Has anyone got any experience of this happening? I dont wish to put incorrect information on the forms, but I want all of the evidence of my entry to tally. The only other reason I could think of for them placing the 17th on the immigration stamp was that my entry occurred a little later on in the day, and they may stamp to ensure that the entrant is allowed the full allotted time on any given visa.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance - and sorry if i seem a little paranoid about this. I just want to get everything right and avoid an RFE / extended processing time of my application.

Arrrggghhh I hate filling out forms!

Ellie

If I were you, I'd just explain the date confusion in a note and include it with the package (paper-clipped to the I-94 copy, perhaps). If you've still got a copy of the flight itinerary/confirmation or better, your boarding passes, that might be worth including to back up your story but I really can't see this being an issue TBH...

Thanks Jeremy. Yeah I have come to the conclusion that is the only way to explain the different dates. I have my flight itinerary and luggage tags on hand to do so.

I just dont want anything to hold the app up. I need to send this off and at the least get my EAD soon......I'm going crazy here!

Hi Ellie, I just realised this has happened to me too, though in my case they have stamped my I-94 for the day before I arrived.

What did you send in the end - just the flight itinerary? Did you write something on a cover letter too? How annoying is this!

Thanks,

Jacqui
