Hi there!

I have been reading this forum during the filing process and this forum has helped answer a lot of questions of mine. Here is my dilemma - I am married to a US citizen and I am from the Philippines. Earlier today, I had my interview at the US Embassy.

Here's the thing - I have a son out of wedlock who is already 28 years old. His father and I were never married but during today's interview, they asked me to present a CENOMAR from the NSO, which I didn't have because the only copy I requested I gave to the Bulacan Municipal Trial Court for my marriage license.

They asked me to come back once I have my CENOMAR, which I already requested and paid a copy for right upon arriving home. They also asked me to fill out an AIR 21 form, the company in charge of delivering Visas to successful applicants. I am confused because they gave me my passport back. How will the Visa be given to me if I have my passport back? Is it a separate card or something stamped, sticked on, or attached to my passport?

My passport was clean when they gave it to me, no other stamps or anything except from St. Lukes where I had my medical. Should I be worried? Has anyone had this same experience before? Please help as I cannot stop thinking about it. :help::(

don't worry, whether denied or approved, they will need your passport to stamp it.

if they asked you to come back when you get your cenomar, they must have asked you too to fill out a white form stating that you need to submit that additional doc before they can make a final decision whether to give you a visa or not.

once you get your cenomar, submit it with your passport, you usually don't need a new appointment for this.

photocopy your cenomar too so you have extras for later emergencies.

good luck and god bless!

if not, it's ok because at least they're

Hello,

I had my interview aug.18 and gave my passport back to me together with the MNL-IV-22 and letter w/ blue form.they asked me to submit new NBI and CENOMAR too. If you completed the requirements u need to submit it personally at USEM window 17-20 together with your passport or send thru mail.

I know what you feel, i was worried too when they gave my passport back to me, but dont worry we are not deny. they just want to make sure that we are really single and no previous marriage. But the sad part is we need to wait again, dont know how long.
