POLICE CERTIFICATE - VIETNAM

Hello everyone!

I am posting my concern here hoping that I will get information and ideas.

I am from the Philippines but had lived in Vietnam for 9 months. I know I will be required for a police certificate but the problem is I am back to my country now. I tried to contact Vietnam embassy in the Philippines but they are pushing me to go back to Vietnam personally which I find difficult due to money and time. As I made a research, I found out that I can get it through an authorized person.

I was registered temporarily but not the complete 9 months since I had been transferring better place/house to stay. Do you think I can get the police clearance without any hassle as long as I will provide the requirements which are the Special Power of Attorney and copy of my passport?

Anyone who has ideas, experience, suggestion?

I cannot speak from experience but a friend of mine who worked in singapore was able to get a police clearance through a person she authorized (since she already had to go back to Phils). she was required a copy of her passport, SPA and copy of her employment certificate.

it would be best to contact the vietnamese police office to ask what other specific requirements they require (different counties have different requirements)

as for the exact months, maybe you can put in your visa application the same number of months that will show on your police report, to be safe, i'm not sure though.

I searched through embassy site, the requirements are SPA,passport that I used when I was there.

I contacted some friend but they refuse because they say that I have to appear personally.

Anyone who experienced something like this?

Any ideas?
