Hello All!

I hope this finds you all very well.

Well....we have a quick question. We would like to bring my Mother-In-Law for a 3 week visit.

Any ideas where to start....went to to USCIS.gov, but could not find anything.

Thanks All!!!

:D

We brought my SIL over for a visit. There is a form for her to fill out. Can't remember if we got it from the INS website or the Consulate website. But my husband filled it out for her and we wrote a letter saying we would be responsible for her and any monetay needs she might have while here.

She was called in for an interview and given a 3 month visa however when she got to Atlanta they changed it to a 6 month visa. This wasn't anything unusal they do this routinely and we expected that they would. So she stayed for the full 6 months and then went home.

Deb that is so awesome. My husbands brother who works at the moroccan PD says the papers need to be filed at the consulate in Morocco by the visiting in-law. Sometimes they might get a hard time at the interview just like the original immigrant which seems common for morocco, but if they ruffle enough feathers to prove their case they can get the visitors visa. I thought it was a 10 year visa though? That they can visit for a maximum each time of 3-6 mos but they do not have to reapply for 10 years.

Yup! My grandparents got their visa in 2000 and it will just be expiring this year. Although I did forget how the process works but I'll be following this thread because inshallah I want my MIL and FIL to come and visit once my husband is here inshallah
