I just sent out our 129 for our K-1 visa. We feel so good about our package. I have been reading different topics, and I see that you can get denied because the relationship isn't bonafide. How do they come to that conclusion?? My fiance and I talk every single day, and we have since the day we met, so I am not worried too much about this, but I hate the fact that my fate is in someone else's hands who does not even know me or my fiance! I guess that is what comes with falling in love with a foreigner. LOL

Any advice or facts about this? Thanks for helping

Your fate will be in someone elses hands [bIGTIME] for the next few years.

Grin and bear it as there are some new "Gods" in your life.

It's up to you guys to prove you have a loving bonafide relationship. Do as Kaushalia suggest. Also make multiple trips if there is ANYWAY you can.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Hate to burst your bubbles, but my fiance petition was sent back to USCIS from Casa, and we talked everyday several times a day for over 1 1/2yrs. I also know an individual who talked with their fiance maybe 1x per week or sometimes not even that and Casa approved their petition. So I just knew that we were going to get our visa approved because of this couple that we knew visa was approved and their evidence to prove a bonified relationship was not good at all. Just pray that you get a decent CO that interviews your fiance. I've since went and got married, and my husband is home with me with his green card in hand praise be to ALLAH.

I am saving everything, and sent over 600 pages of chat, but not all of it, cause i figured they wouldn't read it all, I just wanted them to see that we talk all the time. I have heard Morocco is difficult, but he has three friends who have been through the process, and each of them said it took about 6 months from beginning to end. But I do think it depends on who does the interview.....OY VAY!!

Thanks for the advice. You know, my fiance and I have talked that if they don't approve the K-1, I will just go there, and get married in Morocco. Is there any way the government can deny you being with your spouse? Ouadia (that's my fiance) seems to think if we are married, we have the right to be together, so pretty much, they can't say no. We discussed this alot when we were deciding what to do for the next step in our relationship. We both have such a strong faith in God, so we know, if this is what God wants for us, it will happen. Thanks again.

You are doing the right thing, and that is positive thinking. Going the fiance route first is the best thing to do. It atleast leaves you with a second option of getting married. You have to have a strong faith in GOD if not there is no way that a long distance relationship can with stand the time apart. I made the mistake of looking at who all got approved, and then assuming that my case would be approved. So when it wasn't not only was I shocked but so was my husband's friends that new we had a real relationship. Heck I even flew over to Morocco 4x before his fiance interview even took place. But needless to say GOD works everything out for his purpose. We married in Feb 09 I filed in March 09 and my husband had his spouse visa in hand July 09. So you are right by keeping the attitude if this round doesn't work that you will go and get married. I have seen people that filed the spouse petition first and not going the fiance route get denied, but I don't know of anybody that has filed the fiance petition that was denied then latter file the spouse petition and be denied the 2nd time happen. So you are doing it the right way. Many blessings and may ALLAH make this a smooth process for you.

Never believe your fate in someone else's hands. It is in YOUR hands. Study all you can about this process, study all you can about your consulate, prepare everything correctly, thoroughly and document everything. Keep a copy of everything...and you will be fine. What this "someone else" thinks of you, your fiance and your relationship is based on what YOU provide. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Make your own dreams come true.

I couldn't agree with you more!! So many people here like to blame 'the process' or the 'co' or whoever they can rather than themselves when things go wrong. If you provide them with all the "right" information in "good enough quantities", then there's no reason for them not to believe you.

I have no doubt that they'll believe my relationship is real, because I have

Tons of photos of us together with her kids too (and with my parents and sisters)

Boarding passed from about 6 trips (including other flights we took together while I was in the USA)

Boarding passes from 3 trips when she visited me

Receipts of snail mail

About 2 years of email

Passport stamps for each trip

Cash receipts when I draw out money over there

Credit card receipts from flowers I bought her for her birthday (which is on Sunday btw so hope she doesn't read this, it'll ruin the surprise lol)

Ummm... There's a few other little things, but think that's most of it.

I'm also going to print out FB and MySpace pages of comments, and status that shows us being together (OK, that can be easily faked, but it just supports the rest)

I too agree with Gary's advice. Be prepared, educate them. Keep in mind that they only know you through the paperwork and evidence that you provide. If you provide 3 pictures of you and your fiance(e) and nothing else. What can you expect from them. If you give them a mountain of evidence so large that they can't go through it all, guess what? They will pass on you and give you the visa. They are required to. And don't be afraid to press issues with them. If someone tells you no, ask them why and move to a supervisor or someone above them. All the very best to you two and love will prevail. Remember that love is why we are all here. Just Do It!! and keep us posted please. This is how we learn. Passing on the information to the people behind us.

The bottom of your post has some good advise from Joyce Meyers. Your fate is in God's hands, but instead of a fate you have God's will directing you. How did you two meet, how did you know you love each other, how do you know you are to spend the rest of live together? I think the Holy Spirit had a hand in it. May you journey be a speedy one.

God bless.

I agree with Meanaforlife. We did all the right things, had a lot of evidence, filed the K1 and BAM! Consulant sent our case back to USCIS. During it being in the mail our NOA2 expired. Case Closed. I am going to Morocco in December and Houcine are going to get married, back to US and file CR1. Just keep the faith that you will be together eventually. But ...I too believe you can get a BAD CO who maybe is having an off day or something, that was the case for Houcine. Anyway, gather lots of evidence and go with it. Good Luck
