I am sponsoring my wife and my stepdaughter, and, thanks God, I meet the income requirements. But I am not sure which and how many forms to submit.

I was filling up a single I-864, for both my and child, but I read the line that reads: "Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition". Since my wife and child had to have two diferent visa petitions, does it mean that I have to filed two I-864Z forms? Or a single I-864 will do? Any advice will be appreciated.

You have to fill one out for each indivual you are sponsoring. I had 2 step kids and had to do one for each

They are each under their own application so all paperwork you do will be one for each :)

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Uff!! Thanks for the reply! Do you recall what form did you filled, I-864 or I-864EZ? I am thinking that it is the I-864EZ.

Thanks for the reply

The I846EZ form is to be completed by the petitioner for the principal bebeficiary only. There are three I-846 forms. Google them, read them and you will find the one appropriate for your wife and step-daughter.

Hubby sent copies of tax transcripts, work letter, pay stubs etc. with all separate I-864s. There was no RFE. When it came to adding the number of members in household, he just wrote a note next to it saying - this includes children of the petition - so the petitioned step children were acknowledged as part of the final household number. the $70 each im afraid.

I just sent in a copy of my spouse's I-864 without any supporting documents for my step-kid, hope it would work. That was what I understood from the instructions. I am waiting to see ....

I paid my husband's $70 fee for the I-864EZ and then sent in his I-864. We were delaying my step-daughter for we didn't know how long at the time. I enclosed a note that said to continue with his papers and I would resume the other when I could. Well, when it came time to do the step-daughter, I could pay her fees online. And her I-864 was shown as paid. You only have to pay the one $70 I-864 fee for the related cases. A nice surprise.

So if mine has the originals and my kids have copies it will be fine?

Hi,

when you say "08/27/2009 - e-Mailed I-864 Package (electronic processing)", are you saying you emailed I-864 to NVC or they emailed the package to you? I am doing e-filing but not sure when I should send out I-864. I received the $70 invoice and paid already. should I just download I-864 and email to NVC now or I should wait until they send me the form and request me to send the form back to them? NVC website says "Warning: Do not take any action described below without authorization from the NVC", however when I paid the $70 online, it told me "if the AOS Fee has been paid, the petitioner must complete Affidavit of Support Processing".

Thanks a lot!
