In the real world people have $hitty experiences, regardless of people's best or worst intentions.

But I thought this kind of thing only happened when private evildoers were running health care.

NHS medical costs were being contained :bonk:

For the collective good, no doubt.

not only did they same on transportation costs ... it probably only took a bucket of water to clean the delivery sidewalk (which on any other given day serves as a transportation medium)

Yeah, who needs to sterilize a sidewalk?

Today a spokeswoman for the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust said: 'We are disappointed that Ms Blake was not happy with the advice and care she received'.

So, they're not disappointed with the advice and care she received, just with her being disappointed with them. IOW, it's her fault...

Exposure builds the childs immunity. It's all part of the NHS plan. Kill off the weaklings early, then you end up with lower costs later in life.

In the absence of the full press statement - that's certainly what the Daily Mail wants you to think.

Why defend a failed system?

Don't you see that private insurance is superior?

Remember, you get what you pay for.

I know somebody who was refused care by a big health provider too. She needed a small growth removed from her nose that was preventing her from breathing properly when asleep and causing apnoea. Apparently such a thing was considered a "cosmetic procedure" by some suit in a cubical who never saw the patient.

It was my wife, denied by her private health insurance provider, in the United States.

The moral of the story? The NHS doesn't have the monopoly on ###### up medical decisions.
