We had a 10.30 appointment and arrived at around 10.00 this is what happened

- When our name was called we were taken into an office and asked for our ID's (we both had our passports).

- We were also asked for my birth certificate and our marriage certificate.

- She confirmed our address but read the appartment number wrong. We both corrected her at the same time

:-)

- She asked for my wifes 2005 tax returns and evidence of me being on my wifes health insurance.

- She then asked me the usual terrorist and conviction questions

- She then told us we were approved!!!!!

All in the interview lasted around 10 minutes. We were not asked for wedding pictures, joint account information or anything like that. We were not asked why my wife kept her own surname.

The process was very straight forward.

The name check is all complete. The interviewing officer said that they only give the stamp in the passport if you can show that you are travelling within 2 weeks of the interview otherwise your green card should be with you by then (fingers crossed)

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)
