im so sorry sara. Is there a chance to just say forget it now and go live together?

I did a search on "special unit"s at CSC and the only info is all on H-1B visas :unsure:

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Get ready to move.... I think it's against your rights as an American, that they do something like that to you! I really wonder what that special unit is, and if no one can touch it, no one will work on it. Also wonder how many people have to go thru it?!?! Waiting for 2 years already, and have to wait 6-12 more months just to pass that first step of the whole darn journey, that is brutal! I really wish someone could do something.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you, and I hope you will get some better news in the future! (F)(F)

12/27/08 --> AOS/EAD/AP send to Chicago

5/13/09 --> found a job and we picked out Molly (Beagle Puppy)

5/20/09 --> I485 "Card has been ordered" and again on 5/29/09

5/23/09 --> "Welcome to the United States of America"

6/2/09 --> AOS approved

6/5/09 --> GC in the mail and at night brinnging home Molly... such a great feeling :)

I cannot believe what they are having you go through. I am typically a very patriotic person, but if I put up with half of the horrible things you have been through I would have said I am out of here.

I would be in a congressman and senators office, refusing to accept a canned answer from them.

i have been but u see my congressman and senators are not aggressive and readily accept the answer of still in back ground check i believe they say the special unit to try to scare me its back ground check and they dont want to answer my question its a simple one really how much longer will u people wait until u decide its long enough for what ever ur waiting for thats not coming?

I know this has likely been discussed before...but have you ever considered dropping your K1, getting married and trying for a K3? Or even considered another Country at this point? I know that Canada may not be very easy...but perhaps easier? They have great programs trying to promote skilled trades through immigration etc...

I feel really bad for your situation. Many couples in the same situation would not have survived this long...your love must be great :)

At this point, if you really want to be together soon, I know I would consider other countries...who knows, years from now, you may be able to reconsider he US...it's very sad... I wish you nothing but strength and future success on your journey...
