Is there anybody that can tell me your status of first preference visa? My priority date is 7 July 2003 and I see that bulletin is up to May 2003.

That's strange. You and the petitioner should have been contacted by the NVC by now to prepare your paperwork.

Did you or the petitioner move without informing the NVC or USCIS about the move? Your paperwork may have been returned as undeliverable.

Was your petitioning parent a LPR when the petition for you was filed? If yes, did anyone inform the NVC or USCIS that the petition for you should be upgraded?

You've given no information except for your PD and F1 status. Please provide more so we can give you advice based on your specific circumstances.

Thanks for the response. You are right, the petitioner (My Father) was a LPR when he applied and I was in 2B category. last year when he Naturalized, he also called NVC and upgraded the case category. we got a letter from NVC back then stating that the category has been changed and that we have to look into first preference category for priority dates. My father has moved since the initial application was filed and in fact we never got the approval in letter from USCIS. but we got that through email from USCIS. the case status on USCIS is still saying that the letter has been returned and that my father has to update the address on file. he did call USCIS but they said since they have sent the case to NVC, they have to be notified and USCIS is pretty much done with the case until I get my visa and enter to US. My father has updated NVC and they have the updated address since they have been in touch about the case upgrade. so do you think we should contact NVC regarding this or just wait a bit more till we fall into the cut off dates in VB?

You should definitely contact the NVC. You should make sure that they know you are in the F1 category as your dad is now a USC and double check to make sure they have the correct mailing address. You can also give them an e-mail address where they can send you information. E-mail is quicker than regular mail.

My brother's AOS and IV fee letter was lost and the NVC sent us a copy through e-mail.

Good luck.

I agree call them today and double check that they have the correct info. You have waited this long so dont mess it up by not checking that they have the correct address.
