I'm trying to get an answer from a particular airline company but when I call, I get someone who interrupts, doesn't seem to understand my question, and seems to be reading from a script. My fiance is purchasing his ticket in his city in Algeria to fly to Morocco and then to JFK, but there's no time for him to wait to receive a ticket from me for his final destination in Florida. Soooo, I'm hoping I can buy it over the phone, they can send him via email an itinerary and he can get his boarding pass at the counter in JFK after he arrives, even if his arrival is on a Sunday. I've only flown once in my life so I'm unsure about so much of this. Does anyone know if it's allowed for him to have an electronic ticket for his final destination and will immigration give him a problem with this when he sees them before he can have his final boarding pass? If I can scan and send him a copy of my receipt or something, I'm hoping there won't be any issues. I know they need a paper ticket to come here but from JFK to Florida, I'm hoping I can just do this electronically. Am I making sense with my questions and concerns?

Once the ticket has been purchased(on-line) you will get a receipt via e-mail. You can forward the receipt to your fiancee and he can print it out and use it at the ticket counter to get his boarding pass.

I usually buy my tickets through AAA and I just print out the e-mail they send me and go to the ticket counter--I have to go there anyway to check in my luggage. Then I get the boarding passes for my whole journey.

Should be fine to get an electronic ticket as its not exactly as it sounds. You can purchase the ticket through electronic means but you get to the airport you get a paper ticket of some sort before you go through immigration/customs so you do actually have a boarding pass. By electronic means you can buy online or even at some travel agencies but basically they want you to use a computer to punch in when you get to the airport and print your ticket out...you need this physical boarding pass piece of paper to go through security and the such as they look at this to verify you have a reason to be moving through these locations so electronic in a sense...but in the end you will still have a physically boarding pass of some type as proof.
