Has anyone heard lately how long Panama has been taking to reach a decision on I-601s?

I am wondering the same. We submitted our I-601 in Caracas in mid May 2009. Caracas formally filed it and send it to Panama in mid June 2009. Panama finally got our I-601 in late July 2009 (a full 10+ weeks after turning it into Caracas). The letter in the mail saying they got it arrived in mid September 2009 (dated in late July). The letter quotes "approximately 8 to 10 months to process from the date of this notice, barring any unforseen circumstances and/or requires for additional information."

Anyone have recent personal experience as to the accurancy of the quoted "8 to 10 months"?

Thanks!
