CapeG,

Neither is for either the I-130 or the I-129f. There is nothing financial related to either of those petitions.

The I-134 may be used with non-immgrant visa applications, including the K visas.

The I-864 is used with immigrant visa applications and adjustment of status.

Hmm ok then I am a little confused. In the guide section for the K3 it says that once you get your I-129F NOA2 you need to send stuff to your spouse which includes the I-134/I-84. I just dont know if it means we need both forms or one or the other depending which way we are going?!?

The reference to the I-864 really should be removed from the K-3 guide as there is only one consulate I can think of off hand that gives the option of filing either (erroneously). The I-134 is used when required by a consulate for a K visa. If you end up following the path to a CR-1 visa you will need the I-864.

CapeG,

Once your I-129f petition has been approved your wife can apply for a K3 visa.

I've already told you what affidavit goes with what visa application.
