It says on their website that it is possible if you prove residency in pakistan for 6 months...

How long will it take for the visa to be issued after it has been applied...

is this process faster than k1 in islamabad?

I've trying to call this consulate....I just called 12 times...no reponse..one guy picks up once and transferred to automated service..which does not accept the keys that I am pressing....how can I get somebody on the phone????

its so annoying:(

Some countries have a residency visa policy. I think most gulf countries do so. So your US passport should have a residency visa stamped on it. If you have been living there for 6 months you can apply through DCF....however Pakistan does not have any visa as such. Usually you are just a dual citizen (which does not count) so you will have to mail the documents to US, or file in US itself
