Even before Obamer got in office the Gun-crowd started buying up guns that Obamer has set his sights on.

I always thought Obamer would enact his prize first (Health care) ... before stirring up needlessly, the Right wing base.

Step one: Start on the road to socialized medicine but enacting his "Gov-option"

Step two: Move to the next most important agenda. Cap N Trade

Step three, four and five would be things like: Baning certain guns, Gays in the military.

Over turning "The Defense Of Marriage Act".

By doing step 3 4 5 first you "chip away" at the Middle and fire-up the Right wing base (even more than it is now).

So far Obamer has followed my suspected plan for legislation.

With Health=care now withering as we speak, and cap N trade uncertain.... we are now getting close to the time when he seizes on one big Gun-story to launch his Gun ban legislation.

-IS the window of opportunity for purchasing an AR-15 closing?

-Have you bought a similar gun recently in preparation for the Ban?

-Do you plan on making this purchase?

-Pick the month and year you think it (The move to ban) will happen?

Buying ammo became 'difficult' pretty early on...I'm guessing down to hoarding? I haven't seen it get much easier, but then we don't go to gun shows, maybe it is easier there.

Heard on the news that Cap N Trade was set on the backburner. Granted, Chicago does have a problem with guns, illegal to sell them in that city, but only have to go out of town to buy them and with a criminal record, get a friend to do it. What are friends for.

The major problem in inner cities is not guns, but lack of good education and job opportunities and you can't have either if all of our jobs and opportunities are exported overseas. Seems like Obama has a problem just like any other leader, can't see the forest because of the trees. Nixson tried to cure the inner city problems in LA by having his CIA introduce drugs, that is one way to cure a problem, let them all die off. Obama can also cure the problem by introducing more guns so they can shoot each other off. But without guns, would have to find other means to kill each other off. Point is, removing guns will not cure that severe poverty problem.

The Constitution gives you the right to bear arms. It doesn't say what kind.

The FDA can limit what you eat and what drugs you take. DHS says who can live in this country and who cannot. Your DMV tells you what kind of vehicle is street legal and what kind is not.

I can't wrap my head around the logic that if it is manufactured and it has a trigger, it's constitutionally protected.

I feel the goverment has infringed into peoples lifes to much already. They just keep taking. As you stated above.

So a question for you. At what point will you as a "new age progressive" say enough is enough to the goverment? What will have to happen for you to say stop and to look at what is happening?
