HI. everyone....first..I want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences and their knowledge on this website as I have benefited a lot from it. this is my first post...

it seems everyone will support that K1 is faster than K3..BUT BUT BUT

in Pakistan....its different...CORRECT ME IF IF AM WRONG...

it will take the same amount of time in U.S. whether one applies for K1 or K3...but when they send it to the consulate in pakistan....thats when usually k3 takes longer than k1...am I right?

but according to the stats I found on this website average consulate time for k1 is 90 days and for k3 is 60 days.....

what would you guys recomend....k1 or k3....

dcf in islamabad????possible??

CR-1.

Don't go by the processing times, they do vary. And with a K-1 and a K-3 you will have to adjust status (means a lot more paperwork and waiting for....EAD/AP/AOS) once in the USA, so it is best to go the CR-1 route (generally the wait times are not much different than the K-3 route for Pakistan) and it costs less and you get a green card as soon as you enter in the US, no more paper work until time to lift conditions...

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

if you are not married you have no choice but the K1, if you are married then you can choose between K3 or CR1....most people would rather go the CR1 route as it might only take a month or two longer to get to the US, but overall the process is shorter in the long run
