Crossing POE on K-1 tomorrow

Well, tomorrow morning I am crossing on my K-1 visa at a POE in northern Ontario, this is a post that I have not seen any reviews for, so I just wanted to say that I will put a review up about it later this week to say how my experience was. I will also be crossing with a UHaul (inventory sheet for it) and my vehicle ( not suppose to need papers for it, as it was bought in the States and imported to Canada in 08).

I am anxious and nervous, but I thought for anyone not in southern Ontario, they may be interested to hear how this crossing point is.

Heres to nice Border gaurds and good driving weather.

Sept. 13/07... N-400 sent to NSC

Aug. 21/08... Interview - PASSED!!!!

Sept. 2/08... Oath Ceremony

Sept. 5/08... Sent in Voter Registration Card

Sept. 9/08... SSA office to change status to "U.S. citizen"

Oct. 8/08... Applied in person for U.S. Passport

Oct. 22/08... U.S. Passport received

DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!!

KAELY (K-2 Visa)

Apr. 6/05... DS-230, Part I faxed to Vancouver Consulate

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 5/05... Entered U.S.

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

Good luck. Yes, it will be good to get a review of another POE. I hope it all goes smoothly.

Hey tbay! I lived in Thunder Bay for 15 years but never crossed the border from there. Congrats on your visa approval, and good luck with your POE. Looking forward to hearing how it goes.

good luck, that was my second choice POE but it would have been a much longer drive as I would have had to go up and all the way around the lakes!

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg
