How long does it take these pple to cash a check? I sent my package a week and a half ago and the funds are still sitting in the account. Does anyone in Vermont do any kind of work. If they are rejecting it, they need to do that real quick so that I can make corrections and refile. If everything is fine then they just need to deposit the check and get things moving.

You have a long way to go in this process, it gets worse before it gets better. Try to be patient. This isn't unusual.

This is actually the second time I am sending them a I-485. The first time around I sent it to Chicago and they were so quick about it. I feel like I am stuck in limbo...can't move forward and of course I can't move backwards! At this point even a denial would be good coz I can at least plan on the next move.

as your profile lists you have filed for aos, i can only surmise this thread was posted in the wrong forum. i'm moving it from effects of major family changes on immigration (typically a forum that deals with divorce, death, and other major events) to Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
