Has anyone contacted there state representatives or congressman or senators.I have heard they can push the process along faster.I contacted a few already and they have asked for our info and want to help speedour process.I think they all understand how our immigration system sucks....playing they waiting game for NOA2

Whoa, you sent in your application in August and you are contacting state reps?

How can they speed it up? May I ask?

Are you in Administrative Processing?

Has your application been in process for over 6 months?

Has your documents been lost by USCIS?

State reps, congressman, senator, lawyer CANNOT speed up the immigration process.

The truth and fact is that all of us waited for this painful process to fall into place and so will you. Goodluck.

well they asked for our info and reciept number and all my fiances info ,we had to sign a form to give them permission to get our info from uscis.my hubby is in sweden but is from Iraq.they are tryin to deport him so im doing everything i can to try to help speed his process along.and i did read somewhere that government officials can speed your paperwork along.

Good luck, yeah, deporting may be a way for them to get him here faster.

Btw, you said, "hubby." You know that you can't use a K1 visa if you're already married, right? You'll be denied your visa and have to file for a K3 or CR1/IR1.

Even on interview day do not use hubby or wifey to refer to your significant other on a K1.

PM me for any AP or AR relating to the NBI

You've not even been in processing for a month. I don't think anyone will look at your case for at least another 5 months. Sorry.

...I don't think many of our future husbands/wives to be were at risk for being deported, however.

Even on interview day do not use hubby or wifey to refer to your significant other on a K1.

I AGREE WITH THAT 100% but over many years she has referred to me as "my husband" in chats.

Should I edit that out? We never did a Buddhist ceremony in Thailand as many have with no repercussions.

I would dissuade her from using that term but I already sent a boatload of chats which probably had that reference in there.

Naturally I wasn't divorced until recently but we have not been married to each other at any time in the past or present.

If they catch it, it can be easily explained as a term of endearment.

We might need affidavits from her friends/family that we never got married.

I certainly wouldn't do that if I was still legally married to someone else and neither would she.

But the government works in strange ways...anybody with similar experience?

I am close to you too (Aug. 24, NOA1 on Aug. 27) but I think you belong in August because that's when the

visa journey started. The first data entry for the K-1 visa journey is mailing the I-127F so that's when it

starts, in my opinion. The NOA1 is usually a difference of ony a few days (in both our cases), but if I had

your dates I would consider myself to be in August.

Despite the fact that the September crowd (so far only 1?) could use a little help to boost their statistics,

I think you should be in August.

PS - if you look in Igor's list and select to sort by "sent I=129F" you will be firmly in August.

If you select it to sort by NOA1, it will put you in September. The important thing is which

one came first.

No one is going to stop you from posting on the September filer's thread, so go ahead and do that if you like.

You can make friends with anyone from any stage; that's what we are here for.

I received my hard copy on Sept. 2 but it was dated Aug. 27 so that's my NOA1 date.

Thank you! Yeah, I think I should be August filer. Ok, I'm an August filer. haha!

It's nice to ponder that it's almost a month since we sent in our package. :) I hope to make a lot of friends here and share together our journey.

Good luck to us!
