WoW is a time sucker indeed! What still makes me play a bit is the friends we have there, and, well, I can't work yet, so I need something to distract myself other then cleaning our small home and smashing our cat ;)

Well... if this helps in any on distracting you... click and play until the last part! It's sickly cute.

Hello can i ask what this mean when my fiance called the USCIS around 7pm today .... the recording said.....that "The most up-to-date information is that we responded to you on USCIS Form I-797." because its 6.5 months now we havent rcvd Noa2 yet( Noa1- 8/27/09).

You should make an infopass appointment which may not do anything, but something to try out, contact both of your senators plus your house of rep congress person and see what they can do...sorry for the wait (F)

You can also call USCIS and try to speak to a live person. Don't talk to the first person you get to because they know nothing and are just paid to read a script. Ask to speak to a supervisor. They may not like it but keep on asking until they transfer you.

Married!!!

And then it's like the waiting never was that bad... it was all worth it :)

It was the first day of the spring, but the snow I've been wishing to see since I came finally showed up!! I was probably the only person in the state happy about it! Was soooo pretty!

Congrats on the interview date!!

This was the "close american family" wedding edition. We will probably make another celebration once my parents come to visit in June / July, but won't be with a priest, etc, will be more of a special family dinner :)

Congrats Carolina!!!  !!

And to KevBev!! Hey, are you Kev or are you Bev that posts? Been curious :)

I'm at Heathrow right now on my way back to D.C., paying £1 per 10 minutes, haha, but I'm addicted to the internet, alas. David's parents gave a party for us with their priest to give a blessing and he was going on about how this was a bit odd and wasn't an actual wedding to the guests to which I nervously called out, "Because it would break all the immigration rules!" haha. Couldn't help myself; can't get married when we're so close to him being here in the U.S. :)

I'll have to update the list when I get back to work-give me something to do ;)

I'm the Bev. Thought it was obvious. :) Kevin has for the most part left the research up to me, he started the timeline on here to get date estimates and then I made the account and gave him the info, but he's never used it.

Ahh same here. James just reads, never posts anything. So that gives me a good excuse to have english grammar errors! I wonder how long will I be able to use the "but it's my second language" excuse...

LOL Justine. Well... my priest was a meanie. He asked me before the wedding: "So, would you like me to say a few words in portuguese? I'm fluent". I got all sparkly eyes "Wow, really? That is amazing!" and he goes "Haha, NOT really".

We're just waiting for London...supposedly they received our payment on the 25th of March, signed for by someone, and additional documents can take 10-15 business days. Of course the US embassy has all the UK and US holidays off, so apparently Good Friday and Easter Monday are considered holidays, which will delay it further...meanwhile DOS says we're in AP and London hasn't received our payment.

Trying not to freak out, but it's making me a bit of a stress ball. I know DOS says you're in AP to cover many different things, so I hope it's not the dreaded you have no idea what's going on or how long it will take AP, but the London needs the visa payment kind.

Well, Carna got her visa approved on Feb. 23, and picked it up on the following Monday at the embassy. She is now back in China, finishing her teaching contract for the Spring term. She will travel back at the end of June and go to the CFO seminar, and I'll then meet her and we'll fly back together.

She's trying to sort out her stuff and I'm trying to throw out lots of junk... :help: :help:

So we're just cruising on the timeline and throwing off all the stats.

Here I'm filling the AOS forms and getting ready for my medical this afternoon, hoping I don't get riped off too much. And hoping to have all done and ready to send next week.

I am also trying to learn how to drive! It was soooo bad

I had fun though, and looking forward to try again!

Justine, I hope you get news soon and get to feeling all better. Don't know what else to tell you, but, hey, at least there are no monkeys in London to steal the visa from the consulate. But they do have european swallows who could possibly carry it with the help of a string, just like the african swalloes do with coconuts.

B and C, something that can be useful to help you sort thru what to throw away is to hide it in boxes, all the stuff you are in doubt. If you don't even remember its existence by the time your fiance is coming, then you can probably just throw the whole box in the trash. Oh and the sorting for the person who is coming to US... well... after carefully doing mine, I just got rid of stuff just so I wouldn't be too much over weight :dead: I left all my socks at home (why socks, you might ask? I was CRAZY back then), because I figured I could just buy some in US. And then the sizes are ODD here, but I was lucky and picked the right petit ones for my size 5 feet.
