I posted this in the Embassy/Consulate Area but may get more input from fellow August 09 petitioners.

Some of the details (like the DHL tracking system which you may find about in the NVC discussion area)

may also be of interest for those still waiting for their NOA2's.

Please reply over there if you care to. Things moved so quickly from the NVC to BKK that we haven't had

a chance to see if we actually got Packet3 (we are still in Hua Hin) but are trying to contact the Consulate anyway.

Not really a cry for help as we are in a great position, but we hope to complete as much of Packet3 as

possible (with the police report probably being the last remaining step) before I leave Thailand at the

end of the month.

thongd4me, holy math patience you got there!

I'm really happy they speeding up to everyone... just imagine, we all should be getting RFEs and NOA2s in December, but it's been in October! We'll probably all be spending Christmass with our fiances now =)

It would seem that the end to the VSC pushing out approvals for

Let's hope I'm wrong.

Guys, my fiance received our NOA2 through text message and email last October 16 but no hardcopy yet. Should he start knocking on NVC's door to follow up if our case is forwarded already? Or will he be notified that they received it?

Thanks. :)

Where is NVC? Check USPS, maybe it is just the mailing time, really. At least for the RFE, it took the exact 5 days their website said it would be the max for Vermont to Oklahoma. After mailing time you could start poking around. By that math I expect approval for next week, hoping they keep that pace thondgd4me is calculating... and their letter did say it would take a minimum of 14 days... back to waiting.

NVC is in Portsmouth, NH. that is why mine went so quickly. I live in Southern NH, 4 hours from VSC, and 45 min from NVC, so I got my mail quick from them, and NVC got the packet quick. Good luck everyone!

We're still waiting for ours, and I'm not working much until the Christmas rush starts so I've been obsessively checking my email for some sort of notice.

Any ideas of what I could do in the meantime to speed the later parts up?

Get your police certificate (the foreign beneficiary) if they're valid for a long time (UK is valid for 1 year, so we felt safe in getting it now, dunno what Canada's is like), birth certificate, and make sure to have a day or two of vacation time set aside to schedule a medical exam and an interview...

You can also get the packet 3 documents ready in preparation.

Hope you get your NOA2 soon!

I am a bit overwhelmed by everything myself, too, since I thought that I would have time until January at least to find out about the necessary after-NOA2-steps... BUT what I have been doing in the last days is taking a look at all the example forms for packet 3 here on VJ. Also, I wrote an e-mail to the embassy here in Vienna about what documents exactly from the USC they will need at the interview. Theeeen, this week my mom (since I'm not here) will go the police station to pick up my police certificate. I'm also trying to get infomation about all the required vaccinations and if I have them already. So these are things you can already start working on, too, I think. My fiance is gathering tax transcripts, a bank statement, letter from employer etc. right now and will have his birth certificate and passport certified and then he will send me all that stuff.

Hang in there, you will get your NOA2 soon too!! :star:

Does the petitioner need to send the birth certificate? You don't need to do that in the UK...

Not really sure, I've seen different answers on this here. Some embassies require it. But that's why I wrote that email to the embassy. The problem I have is that due to the fact that there aren't really many austrian people moving to the US nor members of this forum I can't really ask anybody here specifically about certain requirements of the Viennese embassy.. So I just thought it's better be safe than sorry..

Once I get a response from the embassy I'll post it here.
