Hey guys, I am so glad to hear that you guys are getting your NOA's approved so quickly. I just had a small question for you guys:

Is it more difficult to enter US after submitting packet-3 to the consulate from Canada ? I read some posts on vj which said that after you submit packet-3, the consulate enters your passport # in the system which pops up at the POE. Would visiting on holidays like Christmas make it easy to enter?

Please help !!

Seems to me that I've had LESS trouble at the Canada/USA border since I started declaring him as my fiance, not more. And we went on vacation there a few weeks after sending the I-129F, they looked in my suitcase but that was the only "trouble". Last I crossed they asked when and which country we were getting married in, I said the US and as soon as we got the paperwork finished (lol) and they seemed satisfied with that..

Are there any petitioners filing for SOs in Italy? I'm the USC filing and put Rome as the embassy. Someone told that Naples is the only consulate that issues K-1 visas. If so will they send my package back because I put Rome? I have had any touches or anything yet.

Thanks !

No don't worry, we put Milan instead of Naples, but we were told (I asked the same thing in here and many ppl replied) that our papers will be sent to the appropriate consulate, no matter what we wrote.

Aawww I read your timeline there, you made it to bring your cat!! I wish I could bring one of mine (I have 4) but it's a 10h flight and it would be VERY expensive. Good thing is that I live with my parents and the cats are theirs too, so they won't be alone after I move. I'll have to be happy with James' cat only (which is not the one in the picture, that one got donated, its sister is the home cat).

Same NOA1 date! Hope you get the approval soon! I wish I was in US right now, so I could stalk the mailman for that RFE letter and get that done!

Getting the cat across was sort of a funny story.. We got all her shots and paperworks updated in anticipation of being questioned at the border. She was in the back seat of the car in her carrier, meowed all the way across the bridge but was quiet while we were being questioned. The officer asked my mom "do you have anything to declare?" My mom said "nope" and we went right through, he never even glanced at the large obvious pink pet carrier.. then my mom says "oops, I probably should have declared the cat, eh?" Can't blame her for lying by omission due to a pure brain fart, lol.

(F) sorry to hear that! But yeah, it seems like a lot of people get approvals pretty quick after they send in the RFE. Be sure to follow all the VJ advice and put RFE on the package! Good luck : )

Thank you! Oh I didn't see RFE instructions on the guides, I need to look that up better. Once I know what was missing I'll post here. Any tips then? Write a big "RFE" on the package and a copy of the RFE mail inside, with what was missing would be enough?

Yeah, if you click on the guides at the top of this page and on the right hand column, there should be an assembly instructions guide, with writing RFE and making a cover page.

I would look at it in the officer's eyes: this gal has made it very easy for me to approve her petition: she put the RFE on the package so I know that I can just make it easy to approve and she has a cover sheet explaining everything and yeah...just make their lives easier so they can do the favor to you! Well, that's my theory, anyway.
