I am close to you too (Aug. 24, NOA1 on Aug. 27) but I think you belong in August because that's when the

visa journey started. The first data entry for the K-1 visa journey is mailing the I-127F so that's when it

starts, in my opinion. The NOA1 is usually a difference of ony a few days (in both our cases), but if I had

your dates I would consider myself to be in August.

Despite the fact that the September crowd (so far only 1?) could use a little help to boost their statistics,

I think you should be in August.

Regards,

TD4Me

Thank you! Yeah, I think I should be August filer. Ok, I'm an August filer. haha!

It's nice to ponder that it's almost a month since we sent in our package. :) I hope to make a lot of friends here and share together our journey.

Good luck to us!

:bonk:

Sometimes I get crosseyed when I read so many posts. My advice on your being an August filer stands,

but when I mentioned the "September crowd" I was not thinking of ALL K-1 filers (you and I are in that

group) but of the group of Thailand K-1 filers. So far for Thailand there is only one K-1 filed in September

but for the Philippines there are 6 in September and you are among 25 that have filed in August.

Thailand had 4 K-1s filed in August and only one in September so far. :wow::D

Sorry for the mixup.

PS - The only way you can see the complete database is going to "enable advanced mode"

in the K-Visa Timelines database Philippines K-1 Filers

just "Then again you could always file a Congressional" - Could you explain what that means? Inquiry?

Glad to help. Anyway, a "Congressional Inquiry" or "congressional" is a formal inquiry by a member of Congress made on behalf of their constituent. Any federal agency that receives a Congressional inquiry has 48 hours to respond to the member of Congress. Each Service Center has a special office to handle "Congressionals". That’s their sole purpose in life is to keep the member of Congress informed upon request.

(i.e. Senator Numbnuts says "CIS - I understand from my constituent - Mr. Hotn'bothered that (according to him) you have been processing his application for his dear fiancé in a less than timely manner. Can you please look into this matter and let my office know when it will be approved.")

System usually says - "pull and work file immediately" 'Nuff said.

Thought id let yall read this someone posted whom use to work for uscis. Cant hurt to contact your congressman or state reps, they r supose to work for u....mine contacted them for me today and they got back to her the same day asking for more info why our case needs to be expidited. All im saying is im tryin to do the best i can to keep the man i love safe from harm .and also bring him home with me as fast as possible.

Welcome! : ) How did you meet your significant other?

A mutual friend introduced us. :)

I met my first (Japanese) wife through Sam, a mutual friend (he may be dead now).

His spine-chilling words I have committed to memory: "How are you in the marriage department?"

If those are the words you hear, run, because it turned out to be a 20-year green card scam yet

I stuck it out for the sake of the children.

I met my SO online in a one-on one situation with no go-between; if it doesn't work we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

I'm sure your mutual friend is better than Sam.

This may or may not be helpful, but will be part of the new USCIS web re-design.

She's a great friend. She's my fiancee's classmate from elementary to high school. They know each other well. I guess we're destined because I happen to know her classmate too when she came to America. :)

I'm leaving to see my love tomorrow! Yeah, the UK border folks have given me tough questions before, so I'm bringing NOA1, bank account statement, and work schedule.

Have you been the US before? Don't offer up more info than they ask. Just answer the questions as they come and try to be relaxed (lol, uh-huh, right?). Have your fiance's phone number on hand in case they want to call him.

And good luck! : )

Whew... I've been staying off of here because work has been so busy. Got an email today... I129F has been approved!!! It took fifty days. It seems like yesterday, it seems like years.

Now it's off to the NVC.
