Those damn public opinion poll thugs. It is nice to see that Obama the Socialist uses the method where he sticks his finger in the air and see which way the wind is blowing. This should bring a few more sheep back to the flock.

You're a Socialist in denial.

Indeed he is. And W used public opinion polls all the time. It's just want the politicians do to pander to their interests.

If people are going to throw that term around so loosely, lets be consistent and admit just how much of a dirty Socialist each and every one of us are.

Socialized Medicine isn't the way to go.. Let's hope they come up with a better plan!!! Like the $5,000 a year health rebate that John McCain had , I could buy pretty good coverage for $400-500 a month for my family, At least I could pick my plan and Doctors this way

What coverage can you buy for your family as an individual for 400-500 a month? I'd really like to know 'cause the group plan that my employer offers costs right about twice the high end of your figure and carries a 500/1000 deductible with 90/10 split after that. So, if I can go out and buy a plan like that for my family for half the cost or less, I'd certainly be interested.

The Left didn't care enough about preserving the public option to even show up at town halls to fight for it. This was like shooting fish in a barrel. Funny how politicians will listen when we steadfastly remind them who's boss.

Ive noticed that theyre running a little slim lately around here too.

That's because they took our computer privileges away at the homeless shelters.

Be grateful that those of us making $250,000/yr or more give you beggers a place to live at all :P

Thank God. I still think Obama has tricks up his sleeve. This was his big chance to ensure democrat control for decades, it is not abandoned lightly.

I still don't understand why it is so important to get Republican support. There are enough Democrats to just pass what they want.

Because misery loves company.

It depends upon the age of the youngest spouse, but Kaiser in NorCal offers a pretty good family plan starting below $500 a month. For instance, subscriber, spouse, and one or more children, 35-39 costs $414/mo for a $1500 deductible plan.

What's the deal after the 1,500.00 deductible is met? Preventive care fully covered? Pre-existing conditions? Coverage max?

My wife had a preexisting condition, but it wasn't covered by the questionaire, and she qualified. I was overweight and an ex smoker, and I qualified. There are certain conditions they are prohibited by law from asking you about prior to being accepted by the plan. I only met one person that didn't qualify, and they were on COBRA, and being treated for a serious condition. Even they were able to negociate coverage finally with Kaiser.

If you go through an employer, or group plan, then no medical questionaire is required.
