WebCam with limited Russian connection speed

Hey Russian, Belarus and Ukraine Members;

I tried my first real venture with a webcam. Of course, speeds in Russia are slow so it is not true video. I am sure most of you have been using webcams for months if not years. I must admit, this was great fun. I have not see Natalya since my last trip, almost two months ago. Seeing her on webcam reminded my how sexy she is, reminded me of her beautiful smile and reminded me of her home and her room.

What have been your experiences with webcams? Other than chats, what other uses (related to our SO's) are there for webcams?

Alla and I Skype all the time, in fact long session yesterday. We sometimes leave it on while we go about doing other house stuff. I will fire up my laptop with built in webcam and turn on the house WiFi and then will walk around the house and yard giving live commentary. She knows what is in all the drawers in the kitchen, and what's in the garage and the barn and all the flowers, etc.

Connection speeds are slower on the weekends since everyone gets on the Internet; speeds are better during the week.

Haven't tried webcam sex yet!

At least I wasn't the one that mentioned it! (phew)

But while we're on the subject... it's kinda fun...

Natalya's internet speed is a bit slow, video is kinda like a slow strobe light. I can see how this would be kinda fun. :devil:

Anna and I use Skype all the time. For the most part her connection is good enough for stutter free video conversations. And now that she here for awhile we both talk to her family every night.

Other uses besides chatting? Um... Checking the weather?

I have given the "teasing" (exposure, sneak peaks, virtual sex, etc) idea with webcam a bit of thought; sure it sounds fun but she lives at home with parents; I think we will settle for "proper" conversations.

Webcam and phone sex -- should be good topic for an anonymous poll (I suspect has already been done). Of course, my mind immediately went there when I saw "what other uses are there . . .", whereas I never would have dreamed about a video tour of all the kitchen drawers! I have a desktop computer, plus I guess I want to save some mystery about the look of my house or where she can find a vegetable peeler or cutting board. :)

As for quality of connection, it is variable but usually not good. Yahoo messenger quits abruptly or the picture will freeze. Frustrating, but still it is magical to sit and grin at each other. So glad I gave her the Sony Vaio for Christmas.

There are certain problems, unique to members of the RU forum, when it comes to webcam sex. First of all, the light on our shiny bald heads tends to create distracting flares and white-outs on the camera. Under certain lighting conditions, especially with lighting sources over 60 watts, we've been known to completely burn the lens out of anything except military grade webcams. There is also the problem of flab jiggle, which creates refresh rate lag on anything but the fastest broadband connections. Wearing of a manssiere is highly recommended. Finally, our ancient arthritic hands often have difficulty positioning the cam just right, leading our just-turned-18 beauties to have webcam sex with the ceiling light fixture or our 1970's era shag carpeting.

I have a similar problem, I just shaved for the first time in 20 years, the glare off my white skin is blinding, see avatar (photo of me prior to shave). :star:

I found that using a photoshopped picture of my head on the body of a Chippendale's dancer's body as a privacy screen satisfies my beauty for some reason. :unsure:

Most of the Chippendales are gay; that is not well accepted in Russian community. I thought of photoshoping my head on Puten body but then again, my head is not so great

Seriously, the dude knows how to strike a pose. Much better than wearing a gigantic cod piece on the deck of an aircraft carrier, and much less expensive.
