Thank you all!!! I am feeling much more comfortable.

I wish I could do the flight with her but I just started a new job and don't have any vacay yet. That's why we're doing a direct to LAX flight so she flies there I'll meet her there and then we'll fly back to dallas together so she doesn't have to worry about walking around a weird airport on her own.

What's the lowdown on this airline. I want to put my baby on the direct from MNL to LAX? Will I have issues.

Note that I am here in the states so I WON'T BE THERE

I'll get her a copy of my CC and drivers license.

If she prints out the eticket or goes up with the conf. # will there be issues?

Have any of you flown them over here? Any experiences?

Thanks.

My husband bought e-ticket for me. He gave me his details and others but nobody ask for it. I didn't had any problem.

GD, I feel exactly the same way. Our ladies can surely get onto a plane in Manila, and then get off the plane in LAX. I gave my lady a trac-fone so when she lands at LAX she can call me right away. Making the flight across the ocean is a rite of passage of sorts where she makes another milestone of independence. As much as I do not like PAL (Cathay Pacific is #1 for me), the direct MNL>>LAX flight just makes the most sense for her.

Good luck to you both.

I did the email ticket for my wife with PAL The only problem I had was that I tried to protect my CC number by blocking some of the numbers. I had to fax a copy of one of my statements so she could board the plane.

Using the PAL website was the cheapest way to buy the ticket, but I had a hard time getting the transaction to go through, since my CC company flagged it as an unauthorized foreign transaction. I had to call the CC company to authorize a one-time transaction. Then the transaction went through okay.

If you can't afford to be with your wife when she flies, I understand, but if she has never left the Philippines before, it will be a scary experience for her. Try to make the flight with her, if at all possible. I wish I had.

I think, they work with mood swinging. Honestly, they never bother to ask my husband's authorization or other details. They just instructed me what to do next. I think, Philippines policy is weird. They should fix this problem so people doesn't confused and frustrated.

Great!

What flight out do you have for her? I flew here to be with my wife for the interview and we are flying back via PAL on the 26th. I have done this trip before and am familiar with the airports. We would be glad to assist in any way we can to your wife or anyone else flying out on the 26th. Just let Tngirl or I know before then. Don't forget they need to have the travel tax and the airport fee if it has not been paid through a travel agent.

Thank you for all the responses. As things grow nearer I look forward to more info and all of us getting our loved ones here.

By "baby" I mean my fiance, Diana, I call her my baby, honey, sweetie, etc. Sorry for any confusion.

Got it

It won't be 'til mid sept. We're doing the interview on the 2nd, if we pass fingers crossed on that, she'll do the NHO thing as soon as she has the visa and be on the next friday flight. I'm just trying to have stuff in order. I'm not booking anything /til we pass. Thank you all so much!!

Last time I was getting quotes, it seems booking at least two weeks in advance, and the days where they have double flights had the best deals. Check various dates and flights. As the flight fills up, the price goes up.

That is the smart way to do it, my friend. Don't book anything until she passes. EVen then, some wait until the visa is in hand. Don't forget CFO stamp.
