CHANGE ADDRESS - CASE PENDING

Hello

I would like to ask, is there anyone here try to change there address?

We already submit CR1, our case still pending waiting for NOA2

my hubby decided to change the address to his dad because he is always out of town

what we gonna do? and how? how long it will takes this?

Is there anyone here, can give me a step by step on how to do this?

The USC can do an address change at USCIS website.

From the I-130 Instructions:

If you change your address and you have an application or petition pending with USCIS, you may change your address online at www.uscis.gov, click on "Change your address with USCIS," and follow the prompts. Or you may complete and mail Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card, to:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Change of Address

P.O. Box 7134

London, KY 40742-7134

The safest thing is to do the change online AND mail in the hard copy of the AR-11 as well.

This is the best advise. I didnt do it that way & it was a huge mistake. It took me months to straighten it out. After you follow the steps wait about a month & call USCIS to verify the address change is in place. Also double check with your post office to make sure they have it correct. I found that they did not & they sent back some badly needed mail.

My husband did it online and didn't have any problems. Got a confirmation letter about a week later saying they got his change of address.

I did the same & got the letter as well. What occured after that isnt worth trusting the system to do what it is supposed to. I lost months due to the mistake at USCIS. I also made the mistake of believing the on line change was enough & did not send the hard copy.

In the end I had to make an INFO Pass appointment to try to get it right. They assured me all was now corrected; that I would need to wait " no longer than another 60 days to get my letter".

In reality the letter arrived the next day & I do not know how or why. USCIS said there was no explanation.
