Sometimes its good to be a little paranoid...only 3 weeks ago, a young woman was stabbed a few times and then put her in her cars trunk. they found the body after 3 days...this was at 5:30pm in daylight.

It happend straight across the road from my apartment, only metres away...you can still see the blood on the walkway...they haven't even bothered to wash it off...

did she live? who was it? they say it is usually someone you knoe

Sadly no she was stabbed too many times and was in her car trunk for 3 days before they found the body...she was only young as well 22 I think....

Her killer apparently then made his way to Melbourne Crown Casino for a wild night out with no worry at all......people are screwed up.

Yep and a lot of people think they're ok on the virtue of being male. My friend's brother came to visit her in Brooklyn 2 weeks ago, and they went out to a bar and he insisted on coming home on his own at 5 am. When he got there a guy helped him with his jammed key, then followed him into the building and mugged him. His teeth were knocked out, etc. because he only had about $20. Finally a neighbor heard the brother's screams and the mugger was caught off-guard and ran away.

Sigh. Most all the people I know who end up in these situations are guys, being over-confident about their own vulnerability.

Yikes, that's unsettling. I wouldn't be able to leave the apartment without feeling queasy.

Yah it is abit...but then last night I opened the bedroom window (which faces the street - you can see the crime scene from the window) and there was this drug addict/creepy looking guy standing there looking in!!!!!!!!!! I stil havent got over it...I ran out to the night/door man and he went out to check..the guy was high on drugs and just walked across the road like nothing had happend...melbourne is getting worse...I hate it here now. I once LOVED melbourne, I have lived my whole life here but now...its just getting too creepy.
