You will have to do alot of it again. The best thing is, at least you're more familiar with the process. Make sure to keep saving things for proof. I've heard of a few people who wrote in a panic because they didn't keep things, and were wondering how to gather everything up at the last minute. Make sure to keep taking pictures of the two of you together, saving letters/invitations or whatever addressed to both of you - things like that.

The nightmare mostly ends once you get the 10 year card. After that, it sounds to me like just submitting a form and money every ten years. Or you can make it stop with citizenship!

Good luck

As venusfire says, start collecting things now for the ROC stage. I set aside a box and would just put things into it that indicated our 'joint' life and had lots of material to choose from when the time came.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Biometrics/fingerprints, yes - interview maybe (sometimes yes, others don't have one). It is similar to the initial AOS process but without all the same evidence/supporting documents.

The nightmare ends after your permanent green card which would be good for 10 years if you choose not to be a US citizen. Yes, you would have to file form I-751 to lift conditions, submit some more documents and pay about $540. It is the American way lol. Do not feel bad, I have to do it for my wife in 18 months . After that, we would then file form N-400 for her to become a US citizen and that means more $$$$$. Have a great evening.

Hi everyone,do you know how to do things to not have an interview,? does anything specific trigger an interview? we just had one for the aos.what are they doing with the fingerprints? is it a whole background check again or is it just to check the 2 year conditional time frame? what happens at the 10 year green card?thanks,a lot.
