...or the next thing you know, your doctor may be banned from giving you or your loved ones the life-saving care they need!

Obama has created a new $2 billion federal bureaucracy -- a national health care rationing board -- that will decide if the medical care you need is "cost efficient."

And if these federal bureaucrats decide that your treatment is not "Government Approved," then your doctor will be ordered to deny you treatment... or risk facing stiff penalties!

Sadly, it's senior citizens who will be hit hardest by Obama's new plan.

Obama and his advisors are modeling this rationing board after European systems that use age and life-expectancy as key factors in deciding the "cost efficiency" of a procedure.

In other words: When mama falls and breaks her hip, she'll just lie in her bed in pain until she dies with pneumonia because her needed surgery is not cost efficient.

As a medical Doctor, I find this outrageous and unacceptable!

Broun introduced a military anti-pornography bill into the House of Representatives. The bill is meant to stem the sales of pornography on U.S military installations. This bill basically notes that the there should be no loopholes in a former piece of legislation (Title 10 of the United States code), effectively banning military personnel from viewing pornography (Now entitled the "Military Honor and Decency Act").^[5] According to Broun's website, legislation will only be passed based on his "Four Way Test", which includes, "1) Is it moral/right?, 2) Is it constitutional?, 3) Is it necessary?, and 4) Is it affordable?".^[1]

Broun drew national attention^[9] when he criticized then President-elect Barack Obama's call for a civilian national security force, suggesting that Obama might use it to establish a Marxist dictatorship.^[10] In an interview with the Associated Press, Broun said, "That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did. When he's proposing to have a national security force that's answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he's showing me signs of being Marxist." Broun later clarified his statement by saying, "We can't be lulled into complacency. You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I'm not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I'm saying is there is the potential of going down that road."^[10]

Broun cited a July 2008 speech by Obama in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate had said, "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." A spokesman for Obama indicated that he had been referring to a civilian reserve corps intended to handle postwar reconstruction efforts, such as rebuilding infrastructure. The Bush administration has endorsed this idea,^[10] and a Civilian Response Corps, described as similar to the one proposed by Obama,^[11] was formed in 2006 by the Bush Administration after a bipartisan Congressional vote.

Just because they wasted their lives, playing it safe, we are expected to sustain their useless existence, in the hope somehow they may yet achieve glory? Sorry. That train left town a long time ago. As this article is refering to "european systems", I can tell, as an example, that in France only secondary treatments such as therapy massage, some dental acts that might be for look only, etc... require some kind of approval from the government before proceeding. It's mainly to check you don't abuse them.

No primary necessary treatments such as a hip surgery would require an approval, that decision would be left to the doctor.

That would be really no sense...

I find it interesting that they keep going on about this when it just won't happen. My SO's father in the UK has Parkinson's disease that progressively got worse. Not only did NHS take care of his medical treatments despite him being elderly, the sent a nurse during the day to his house to help him with this treatments.

Grandma will get her surgery, just like mine did, twice after her 90th birthday - paid for by Medicare.

I can tell you what happens and its not good..my mom goes into a center to (regulate) her medicines (they said) in a matter of days she was like a zombie and couldnt walk. OH she will walk before she leaves etc etc 10 days come and she couldnt. I told them well she walked in and i cant talk her home like this, so they transf her to a skilled nursing home to regain her walk. She got better and could use a walker some but we noticed her mind going downhill more. They allowed her to fall various times and never called us and couldnt even find a report on her so we moved her.

Next place was better, they did more exercises and to make this short she got better so we moved her in with my daughter, seemed alot better. In a matter of weeks she had phenomia so went to the hosp, got over this but got weaker so back to a home close to what was her home. Ok here they allowed her to fall out of a wheel chair because (they cant restrain) anyone, broke her hip and at 83 went for the operation, out of hosp and back to the (good) home for care. Here she basically gets the best care and had no problems with the hip healing, matter of fact i had taken her on a tues for the final dr release as far as hip she was fine.

That same tues night she was restless so they at midnight returned her to a wheel chair (again oh we cant restrain ) so she falls out in front of the aide. They do call but report no injuries she is fine. I go there and notice some pain in movement (I) request xray and yes now the left has a hairline crack. Cut to the end dr calls of course we cant operate again she is to weak and the end is near and call hospice. Hospice now brings a bed with a rail (seems the home cant restrain but hospice can) seems a little strange., as she was sliding out of the original bed also. I dont see what difference the liability is now and i also dont see why i am paying 4,100 for nursing home care and this hospice can bring in a new safe bed, pay for part of her medicines plus many other things and we wont pay a dime. My mom is self pay, she pays her own bills, she went in with regulating medicines issues and now is near the end due to things that nursing homes allowed to happen to her, not a condition due to her body issues. This has all happened since November, i would say quite a price to work and save all your life to pay this 4,000 each month only to hurry the end. So now we just wait each day...like i said its not good, and a position we all at one time will be in.
