Supporting Documents for N400

Hey Guys, I am back here again now that it's time for my N400. I am sending my application this weekend but forgot to order the Tax Return Transcript. My question is, does it have to be the Transcript or can I just send copies of my joint Income Tax Returns with W2's in the last three years? I really appreciate you input about this and if somebody did not submit the transcrip but just the regular tax returns, I would like to know if there was no problem and if you were approved.

I sent in the tax transcripts but I believe you can send in your complete returns along with the W2s and all of the other attachments. Since there isn't a deadline for filing the N-400, why not just order in the tax transcripts now and wait the week or two for them to arrive, then include them? Either way, though, you should be fine.

I just got the last 3 years of tax transcripts and it only took 4or 5 days to Hawaii.

Wait till Monday and you can have them faxed to you while youi talk to IRS.

All depends on the IO. Some can be tough for proof of still living together.

Of course I sent a lot more than just copies of joint income tax returns to proof that we're living together.

Completely agree. Order the transcripts now, and you'll have them next week. They are certainly more official, because they PROVE that you actually sent in your tax returns! I have used trascripts for every application I have done, and to me they are the best evidence.
