Our office where i work will be closed by December 31st. In my group some of us will be asked to move to our Indiana office, and some of us will be canned. Ana and I just started our visa process, and i am freaking out.

What if they can me? What do I do? Can I still continue with the process? Of course today i am starting to look for another job.

Anyone have any advice? What would my options be?

I haven't read the immi forums in years, but back in the day many CO's in Manila were hesitant to accept co-sponsors. I'd ask around in the Phil. forum and find out how things are now.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Well your tax returns should still show your income for the 2009/08/07 years if you have a job through December. I think you should be ok with those. You may need a co-sponsor for AOS though.

Jeez... hope you don't lose your job... or at the least- don't lose enough income to have your yearly income affected.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

When I did my wifes K1 through Mumbai, they wanted a job letter at the interview, dated no earlier than 60 days prior to the interview date. I don't know if Manila asks for that or not.

Oh that would be a bummer. Not sure why every embassy seems to have different rules. I am pretty sure that in London, most only needed tax returns (with w-2's). I know some provided a letter from the bank too but it seems employer letter was only for those that were on the job not very long.

They just 'prefer' your co-sponsor be an immediate family member and may not accept someone like a friend/co-worker (that kind of thing).

Sorry to hear that, Joseph. I was laid off the day before my wife arrived here in the states. Thankfully, I found work within 3 months. You've got 6 months to prepare and hopefully, Ana will have her interview scheduled by then. Good luck finding a new job in the meantime.

125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for the sponsor/co-sponsor's household size (which would include the beneficiary/your-fiancé).
