It sounds like basic AP. So don't worry. So now that I answered you, will my ords heal?

I agree, sounds like standard AP. The good news is the backlog is not the 6 months it was....so maybe that 2 months response is accurate. Every case is different, good luck in your journey.

(morocco4ever~i didn't know your ords were broke) :P

so plz dear

how i can trace the processing of my status

there is website link let me check my status?

or i call the embassy in cairo?

thanks for ur reply

It's been a while since our journey but I think the only way to check the progress of your case after the interview is by calling the Department of State and providing them with the NVC case number assigned to your case before your file went to Cairo. Here is the number to DOS 202-663-1225 and I think you will need to press "1" and then "0" for an operator. However I strongly recommend that your wife does the checking from US. I think you also can e-mail the embassy for an update. I think others who went thru Cairo may provide more info.

Best of luck!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

They don't tell you always that you are in AP. They just do it. Don't worry too much. The fact that they let you keep your passport there is a good sign. If they thought it was going to be long and drawn out they would have had you take it back home. What day was your interview?

I totally understand. I haven't seen my husband in over 6 months. I really don't understand why Cairo puts nearly everyone in AP. It really is torture. I miss my husband really bad too. Have you called the Department of State at all?
