Perhaps you do, but this constant refrain that women politicians have to be hot chicks and that this is somehow pertinent to having a political clue is both insulting and ridiculous.

It's a fact that leadership ages you. The men too, I don't think anyone fails to notice how many years the Presidency adds to one's appearance, but Speakers have always been ageless. Perhaps Nancy needs to remember she is not the President, and perhaps she might be able to keep some of her youth, what's left.

I don't know if the speaker is anything like the speakers we have in the UK. They are by and large good at being non partisan and true, they do not age. Mind you, the last one was 'ousted', first time in centuries, but I have fond memories of Betty Boothroyd.
