AR-11 Change of Address question.

Hi,

I'm ready file I751 but I don't seem to remember I changed my AR-11 to current address 2 years ago or not.

Is it too late to change it now? Should I just submit I751 since it might confuses them?

More and more I think of it, I don't think I changed my address to current one when we moved here. Stupid.

Would this be a problem?

Call the service number and fololow the prompts to change address. They may know if you already changed or not.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

From what I read online, the address on the 751 is the address that they will send correspondences to.

I would change it online and get a receipt number. Send a copy with your I-751. Both would show your new address.

I'd do two things--file the AR11 online now and the I856 (not sure about the number...anyway...it's the change of address for sponsor).

When you're done w/ that, file your I-751. I would even go as far as waiting for the NOA1 to confirm that USCIS has received the change of address for your sponsor...but that's your call :) May not be necessary.

In your I-751...make sure to use your current address.

In my opinion--that should be enough.

Just a suggestion though.

When we filed for ROC, I realized I hadn't filed the I-865 and I couldn't find the receipt for the AR-11 that we did online in August 07. I called the info line and the lady said that if I wanted to include the receipt for the AR-11 then simply just do it again online and include that with my package. I ended up finding the receipt buried under a pile of paper but if you did it online, you may want to check your computer because the receipt is something your download and then print off.

If you haven't filed the AR-11 at all, just do it online and include the receipt with your application. Yes, they are supposed to use the address you provide on your I-751 but it is not unheard of (in fact, it often happens) that USCIS sends documentation out to old addresses even after address changes have been filed.

Following the advice of Immigrant2009, I filed the I-865 for my husband along with the I-751. We received the NOA for the I-865 before the one for the I-751 and to this point, it has not been a problem at all.
