My wife has a valid ten yr US visa

I will soon file all the paperwork for the CR1

Can she still travel back and forth on the B2 tourist visa to visit me while all the paperwork is in process?

Tell her to bring STRONG ties to Trinidad when she travels to the US. A letter of employment, mortgage, that sort of thing. It really depends on the POE though. Good luck.

When USC wife started the filing process for me I had my 10yrs B1/B2 visa; I travelled approx 10 times in the filing period (1 year +) and I was never asked for supporting docs or ties to my country. Just dont abuse the visitor's visa.
