Hello Everyone. Sorry, another Medical post. I 'm reading too much.

I read somewhere that Medical Examiner keeps your passport and forwards it on to the embassy with the exam results and a sticker if you pass.

My NVC Appointment letter states:

Beneficiary must bring The medical examination results if not submitted to the Embassy/Consulate by

the physician Ok, so that makes sense, and I guess it's no big dealio either way, what happens will happen.

Appointment letter also says we need to bring passport to the interview.

I just want to be prepared and minimize surprises. So does St. Luke's keep the passport and forward it on to Embassy or do we get to keep it?

Thanks for any replies and good luck/God Bles to you all.

Saint Luke will keep it if you passed the medical exam, they will forward it to USEM together with the result. Then USEM will send it to you via AIR21 (with your visa in it )days after you passed the interview.

Sorry to Hijack this tread....

but can the passport be also picked up at the Manila Embassy, assuming the interview is passed ?

and after how many days usually?

....trying to avoid a 3rd trip to Manila from the province for CFO and sticker

thanks

Visa pickup is on a case by case basis. You should take a letter stating the reason for needing to pick up the visa and give it to to the interviewing consulate officer (CO). The decision is up to the CO. Recently, someone was told it was for emergencies only, so maybe the consulate is resricting visa pickup.

An approved visa is normally ready in a few days to two weeks. Of course each visa timeline is different.

I am glad to hear that it was normal to have them take the passport after the medical exam. This happened to my wife after her medical exam on 8/12. I was very worried because as a US Citizen I never let my passport out of my possession. Her Interview is 9/4 and she is all ready. I have been telling her not to forget to breathe! Deep breaths before the interview.

I have been reading here talk of a CFO sticker. Can someone lead me to info or a link on that. Does she get this before/during/after the interview? She said that after the medical they did put something in the passport.

Thanks all!

Jeff

Here you go.

http://www.cfo.gov.ph/

She can do the presiminar any time. Only can register and get the sticker after she has visa in hand.

Can do both in one day AFTER she gets her visa.

P400 for seminar and P250 for registration or vis versus.

Thank you for your reply.....

Well I guess we cannot avoid a 3rd trip to Manila....

Stupid CFO requirements and the inefficiencies of that government....

Why do they need to stamp the passport and not just give a card stating requirement seminar was meet?

I just give up trying to understand it anymore.....
