we had our AOS interview in Chula Vista and it is scheduled at 7:45am. we arrived 30 minutes earlier and they interviewed us 15 minutes earlier than our scheduled time. We were interviewed by immigration officer Williams. She was very nice and friendly so we felt comfortable while she's conducting our interview.

she asked for the original copy of my birth certificate, my passport, my husband's passport and an original copy of his naturalization papers. and that's it!

she didn't even bother asking me for the vaccination supplement in the sealed envelope, joint bank accounts, health insurance, life insurance, retirement plan etc.

then she started asking these following questions:

1. how did you meet?

2. when and where did you first meet personally?

3. how did my husband proposed?

4. when and where we got married?

then she asked if we have pictures together. so I gave her our album and asked us to tell something about the pics.

after that she just checked all our papers in her folder and said that everything looks fine and complete. and told me that my GC will be mailed 2-3 weeks from now. she reminded us that we have to file form 751 90 days prior to the 2 years expiration of GC. and I'm eligible to file for US citizenship 3 years from now.

and that's it. she greeted and assisted us in the hallway.

we we're so relieved. finally, 2 years free from immigration paper works.

reviewing for NCLEX and eventually job hunting are next on my list.

i just want to thank VJ for all the guidance while completing all our paper works. this process won't be easy without this website.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
