Finally I got an approval letter today....My date of approval is 8/10.

The name on the approval letter is my first initial of my first name followed by my last name. Ex: J Doe (for John Doe).

Just want to make sure that everyone who got approved had similar name on the approval letter...

Finally I thank everyone on this forum...I joined this forum just 3 months back....We have so many helpful people here..seldomesene I hope u get approved soon too...Thanks for your kind advice Immgrant2009...

I hope and pray everyone get their ROC approved ASAP

Removing Conditions:

03/09/2009 - sent package to Vermont Service Center

03/17/2009 - NOA 1

04/14/2009 - Biometrics Done

08/10/2009 - Approved

08/13/2009 - Approval letter received (Online status still Pending)

08/14/2009 - Card Production Ordered-Email

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

2024

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

When I saw your post I got a renewed burst of hope. I hope I am approved soon. Thanks for the kind thought.

And yes I have seen other posts were people receive the letter with just the first initial and last name but the card comes correct. I think that is how they do it

Thanks everyone....Seems like the USCIS email system is broken.

Online status is still the same...I used to check emails anxiously every hour... :angry:

I hope it is due to broken computerl system of VSC that I still have no update since 4/21/09, not even after biometric.

let us know when your online status is updated....

I-751 process:

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/07/09: Received by VSC

4/17/09: Check clearance.

4/20/09: NOA1 received in mail (receipt date: 4/08/09)

4/30/09: Biometric appt. letter received (appt. on May 15th)

5/05/09: Walk-in biometric done

9/02/09: Approval Email (touch on USCUS site)

9/03/09: Approval letter received (decision date: 8/27/09)

9/09/09: Touch, but no change in status on USCIS site.

9/11/09: Green card rec'd.

Well they did update the processing times again (not that it makes much difference :angry: )

Now I just rely on good old USPS for any good news.
