? People adjust all the time from tourist visas, and it's not illegal or wrong to do so as long as the intent on entry wasn't to marry and stay.

You're right LaL. I meant on something obvious. My uncle warned me about this... if a B visa goes AOS... it is likely something wrong done in the examination of the evidence.

I am not following you.

That B visa holders really need to have evidence that proves beyond any doubt that they did not enter the US with the intent on doing an AOS, basically. Pretty hard to do... and its why B visa AOS's are usually supposed to get flat out denied. :)

They proved intent at the border, not at the AOS interview.

Just sayin' AOS is very tricky for a B holder. From what my uncle says from inside the USCIS, nearly impossible if an examiner is looking at things.

Dozens of anecdotes from members who went that route would disagree that it is in any way generally more problematic :D

Could be luck then. I have also read some of those stories.
